Website privacy notice

Effective October 3, 2026. This notice explains what information this website collects and how we use it. It covers this website only; health information we handle for clients is covered by our service agreements, HIPAA and California law.

Who we are

This website is operated by Clarity Med ("Clarity Med", "we", "us"), an independent clinical pharmacy consulting company based in San Diego, California. Questions about this notice can go to [email protected].

Information we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the basic technical information every website receives.

  • Consultation form: name and email, your organization if you're writing for one, plus, if you choose, who the request is for, the topic you'd like to discuss and a message (for example, a phone number if you'd like a call). If you used the "How can we help?" bar, the state you picked is included.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Brief: your email address.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the time of the request, processed by our hosting and security providers to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't ask for, and you shouldn't send, health information about anyone through this website.

How we use it

  • To reply to your request and discuss our services with you.
  • To send the Clinical Pharmacy Brief if you subscribed.
  • To keep a record of our correspondence.
  • To keep the website secure and block spam and abuse.

We don't sell personal information, we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use it for advertising of any kind.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run this website, and only what each needs:

  • Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site and runs the spam check on our forms (Turnstile).
  • Our email providers: Brevo, which sends the website's notification emails, and Microsoft 365, where we receive and answer email. They also deliver the Clinical Pharmacy Brief to subscribers.
  • Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces this site uses and so receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of any person. We don't share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

Cookies, tracking and Do Not Track

This site doesn't use advertising cookies or tracking cookies, and we don't allow third parties to track your activity across other websites through it. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, including for the spam check on our forms. If we measure visits, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you across sites.

Do Not Track: because we don't track visitors across websites, there's nothing for a Do Not Track signal to turn off; the site works the same whether or not your browser sends one. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request not to sell or share your information, which we don't do in any case.

How long we keep it

We keep consultation requests for as long as needed to respond and keep a business record, and no longer than three years unless you become a client. We keep Clinical Pharmacy Brief subscriptions until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security.

How we protect it

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and stored on a private server in California with access limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please don't send sensitive information through this website.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and we'll respond within 45 days. California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act if it applies to us; we honor these requests regardless. We won't treat you differently for making a request.

To make a request, contact us at [email protected]. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it.

The Clinical Pharmacy Brief

If you subscribe, we use your email address only to send the quarterly brief and related updates from Clarity Med. Every issue includes a way to unsubscribe, and we'll stop sending within 10 business days of your request. We don't share the list.

Health information

When we provide clinical services, we handle protected health information under HIPAA, the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act and our agreements with clients, not under this notice. Please don't send health information through this website; we'll arrange a secure method once we're working together.

Children

This website is for organizations and professionals. It isn't directed to children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also note it on our home page for 30 days.
